This Privacy Policy explains how Stealth Prep("we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our website and app (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us:
- Account info: your name, email address, and password (stored only as a secure one-way hash — we never store your plain password).
- Nutrition & health inputs: goals, height, weight, activity level, dietary preferences, allergies, and food you log. This can include health-related information you choose to enter.
- Recipes & kitchen data: recipes you generate, save, or edit; your pantry/inventory; meal plans; shopping lists; and feedback or ratings.
- Photos: images you upload (for example, to identify a food) are stored so the feature can work and so we can review accuracy.
Information collected automatically:
- Usage & analytics: pages viewed, actions taken, time on pages, and similar interaction data, used to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service.
- Technical data: device/browser type, and a session identifier stored in your browser to keep you signed in.
- Cost/usage metrics: aggregate measures of AI usage tied to your account, used to understand and manage the cost of providing the Service.
2. How we use your information
- To provide the Service — generate recipes, compute nutrition, plan meals, manage your pantry and lists.
- To personalize your experience, including taste-based recommendations built from your activity.
- To operate accounts, process subscriptions, and (if applicable) run our referral program.
- To secure the Service, prevent abuse, debug issues, and improve features and safety checks.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support.
3. AI processing
To generate recipes and some other features, we send the relevant request (such as your preferences and prompt, or an uploaded food photo) to third-party AI model providers. Nutrition values are calculated by our own software using public food databases rather than by AI. We do not sell your data to these providers; they process it to return a result to us.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- with service providers who help us run the Service (hosting, database, AI model providers, payment processing, analytics/error monitoring), under agreements that limit their use of the data;
- with other users only to the extent you choose to make content public or share it;
- if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Stealth Prep or others;
- in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition), with notice where required.
5. Data retention & your choices
- We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the Service or meet legal obligations.
- You can view and edit much of your profile and data in the app.
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing us. We will respond within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.
- Depending on where you live (for example, the EU/UK or California), you may have additional rights, such as data portability or the right to object to certain processing.
6. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including password hashing and encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your region), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continued use of the Service means you accept the updated policy.
